MALA IMAGEN EN JUAREZ

El Presidente de la Cámara Nacional de Comercio, Servicios y Turismo Antonio Andréu Rodríguez, criticó en entrevista del 29 de Julio, la venta de camisetas con imágenes alusivas a la violencia e inseguridad que se vive en esta frontera y dijo que "tampoco es para que seamos nosotros mismos los que respaldamos la mala imagen que se nos ha creado en el ámbito nacional e internacional" Aprovechó la ocasión para descalificar los libros más recientemente publicados sobre los asesinatos de mujeres: El de la periodista de El Paso Times, Diana Washington Valdez, "Cosecha de Mujeres" y el otro publicado hace ya algunos años del periodista Sergio González Rodríguez, "Huesos en el Desierto" al indicar que "ninguno de los dos ha aportado nada para solucionar los crímenes de mujeres, no han tenido tampoco un beneficio para los deudos de las víctimas y sí en cambio sirven para que sus autores obtengan ingresos"

El impresor de las camisetas argumentó - con razón - que la mala imagen no se debe a las camisetas sino a los hechos que pasan en la ciudad.

Con respecto a su crítica a los libros opino que el Señor Andréu seguramente no ha leído los libros de Diana Washington ni de Sergio Rodríguez, como tampoco seguramente los han leído las autoridades locales ni federales. Si lo hubieran hecho, seguro que ya habrían dado con muchos de los asesinos y los hubieran puesto tras las rejas pues las pistas que aportan en su trabajo periodístico son harto reveladoras. La aportación más importante de estos periodistas - mismos que ya han sido amenazados de muerte - es la DENUNCIA de lo que nos denigra como sociedad: machismo, narcotráfico, corrupción, abuso de poder, indiferencia gubernamental, negligencia policial, tortura, etc. Ellos representan la voz de la democracia que no tenemos en este país y podría ser que hasta les debiéramos algunas vidas que se han podido salvar debido a su trabajo. No es esta una aportación?

Lavar nuestra imagen Señor Andréu, no depende del vendedor de camisetas, ni de Diana Washington y Sergio Rodríguez, ni de la campaña iniciada por nuestro alcalde Héctor Murguía y emprendida por la Cámara Nacional de Comercio que consiste en poner pegatinas en los coches con la leyenda "Ponle una tacha a la inseguridad". Tal vez podríamos empezar por reconocer nuestros errores.

parece ser que la sra diana W. es toda una autoridad en la materia....si lo es por que entonces no sale de las teorias que ya muchos otros antes que ella han puesto? MI OPINION ES que es solo una advenediza queriendo hacer dinero con una tragedia colectiva ¡shame on you!

Primero: Posiblemente porque las teorías que otros ya han publicado también tengan la misma verdad?

Segundo: "Hacer dinero" en el sentido de obtener una retribución económica a cambio de un trabajo es algo que TODOS hacemos. Diana es una periodista y escritora que vive de su trabajo. Por qué habría de ser gratuito un libro sólo por el hecho de abordar y denunciar los pormenores de una tragedia?

No comparto tu opinión cuando dices que D.W. es "una advenediza". Ha puesto su vida y la de su familia en peligro por denunciar con valentía hechos que denigran a nuestra sociedad. Una sociedad debe ser crítica para mejorar y muchos de los problemas que padecemos -por ejemplo, lo que resultaron de la hegemonía del PRI por 70 años - se deben en mucho a una sociedad de brazos cruzados, temerosa de hacer escuchar su voz.
